Who We Are
Ricky Taylor
Founder & CEO
Ricky Taylor is the founder/executive director of AfroSouth. Born in Hartsville, SC, Mr. Taylor is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Media Arts. In the last 30 years, he has produced documentaries ranging from Hootie and the Blowfish to Dizzy Gillespie. He is currently an executive producer at South Carolina’s PBS affiliate and independent filmmaker with Voice & Vision Media. As a former co-chair of the Let’s Share Arts Festival, Rick brings over 35 years of experience in media production and festival planning to AfroSouth.
Jason Gourdine
President
Jason Gourdine is an entrepreneur/filmmaker and owner of Crown Vision Media. In 2014, Gourdine made his directorial debut with his feature film Enter the Dominion. In 2015, Gourdine started Black Collective, a digital media platform, along with filmmaker Travis Pearson. His current project HAANT, a Southern Gothic, Gullah Revenge Thriller, is his first studio film in collaboration with noted producer, Effie T. Brown (producer of Dear White People, The Inspection, Project Greenlight) and CEO of Game Changer Films.
Reba Hough-Martin

Reba Hough-Martin serves as deputy director with 27 years of non profit program management experience. She has held a variety of statewide positions in the South Carolina Community Action Partnerships association including the president. She is a Nationally Certified ROMA (Results-Oriented Management and Accountability) trainer as well as a Certified Community Action Professional.
